This take on Iwobi 100% agree. We can’t know for sure whether Nkounkou was the answer to the left hand side... but moving Iwobi over has to go down as the wrong decision.

Completely agree with this comment probably the main reason we lost.Iwobi also getting slaughtered again on this forum,should be Carlo.

Carlo going on about Iwobi being a confidence player in his pre-game press conference so what does he do next game? Shoe horns him at left back and watches him get annihilated...

I don’t even think the decision to exclude Nkounkou can be defended unless he was genuinely injured. You can say he’s untested defensively in this league but what difference does it make if you’re gonna just play someone who’s not defensively minded anyway in that position in Iwobi?

Richarlison badly missed Dignes presence yesterday and unless we have someone in same mould (Nkounkou) playing behind him then we ain’t gonna see much of his magic over the next 2-3 months.

He played Left Wing with Delph at left back. He didn’t have Richarlison in front of him it’s no surprise he didn’t excel tbf.

Dignes overlapping runs allow Richarlison to work his magic as much as Richarlison’s play allows Digne to do the same.
