Boxing

Wouldn't be surprised if his eyesocket is gone, he was wincing when the iron was going on between rounds .

He told his trainer in the corner before he came out in that round that he was done. Leant his head in and whispered.

Trainer sent him out anyway.

Baffles me why they do that.

And he was visibly stunned by the accuracy of Joyce's jab from the second round on.

That Dubois is just a bouncer from a nightclub.

Nah he's just a young "slugger" type of fighter who hasn't got the basics yet. Needs to learn from this - natural power is the one thing you can't learn, whereas you can learn to move your head and not just throw winging right hooks for 10 rounds.

Bookies would have cleaned up tonight; the odds ahead of this were silly because too many people bet based on highlight reel knockouts over everything else. Hence Fury/Wilder odds too.

I know the discussion was Dubois early, Joyce late. In those sort of fights, you always worry what will happen for a Dubois, if Joyce doesn't wilt under early pressure.

Similar with Haye/Bellew. When Haye hit him hard first couple of rounds and couldn't get Bellew out, you always felt Bellew was "live" (appreciate this was a well past his peak Haye!).

Dubois was up on 2 cards at the stoppage... one by 8!!!

British boxing is basically WWE mate. No way was Joyce getting a call on the official cards as Dubois was being marketed as Tyson II.

That's why Frank Warren's face was so sour. His heavyweight next big thing just quit for a 10 count on his knee.

I had Dubois up by 1 going into that round to be fair. Joyce was obviously hitting him with the jab all night but Dubois was winning rounds by having nice little flurries. Was a decent scrap, and Joyce will give people people problems just by being an annoyance.

Tonight's fight between Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones it is going to be interesting one given their age. Wonder which of these boxing legends will do better in the ring

I'm debating whether to watch it or not, it's a bit like car crash TV. You shouldn't watch the carnage but you can't look away...

Jones having recently fought to a standard should be a little bit less ring rusty. If it's true they can't go for the knockout then that takes away a lot of Iron Mike's threat.
