If he had stayed he would have got some League Cup games and possibly would have forced his way into the thinking. If when Holgate came back he dropped out then he could have gone on loan 2nd half of season. I believe it was Gibson who asked for the loan but perhaps he should have seen what was unfolding at the club and had a rethink.
....just like DCL, who wouldn’t be here if not for Unsworth.

....still not getting much game time. I know it’s early in the season but it is a reminder that loan deals rarely turn out as many posters assume they will.
