If this was Leicester putting it in over a few seasons there'd be questions asked. This lot have the media sown up. The Establishment club. Too big to fail.

They can control the propganda, but they cant control the bodies of their players, who are now demonstrating the same signs of breakdown that Klopp's Dortmund teams suffered.

I would argue there was far more circumstantial evidence suggesting LCFC were pushing limits when they won the league than any other PL team, but the media didnt touch it. two reasons....

1) if proven it kills the golden goose for media
2) burden of proof and libel risk would be insane.

This is a player that has only just turned 30 yet he looks completely broken. His decline has been massive yet he should still be in his prime.

This is like Lallana too though isn't it. Pretty sure he was 31 when he left Liverpool. Sturridge, Sahin etc loads of others just fell away when they couldn't cope with Klopp's demands.

It's why I was very cautious on the shouts Thiago would come and dominate. We are a few months in now, and I don't think he's even had a decent 90 minutes yet.

They have some friends at the top, but outside of that elite bubble are hated universally. Armstrong was widely loved. All of my mates had his wristbands. They took him down. They will take anyone down if they are cheating.

I’ll never forget the time they flew back from a week in Qatar after playing two games, the second of which went to extra time, then stepped out 48 hours after landing and absolutely demolished a Leicester side that were flying on their own patch. Nothing to see here lads, all normal.

in 2018/19 he ran more km per 90 minutes than any player that played a significant number of minutes. He’s a year or two younger than I thought but the point remains that 33 year olds should not be physically outperforming players 10 years younger than them. Look at other players of Milner’s era: Rooney Scholes Barry Lampard even Gerrard they all slowed down, they kept their quality but past 32 they had all adapted how they played and had to move away from the high octane stuff. Even Messi and Ronaldo have declined and they’re the greatest of all time. Milner has been better the last couple of seasons than he was at City and Villa. He came on at right back at the weekend and snuffed out one of the fastest wingers in world football with ease.

Why do people think it’s natural? How many other 34 year olds are still performing in the premier league at league winning level without slowing down?

Re LCFC, as I said - I think if it is the case that there is widespread doping, my thoughts are there are too many vested interests protecting it & it is simply the golden goose that no one wants to expose. Long term the truth will come out, but there seems to be too many corruptible barriers blocking.

yep somewhat fair, but I think the fact that he was hated was important, also relative to football, it is not big business.

Im torn on football, if there is full whack doping, it is collective and across the league(s), which makes me have my doubts.

With LCFC, there are some "olympic style" pointers such as sprinting ability coming from nowhere, miraculous injury recover (kante and Vardy), the fact that all of these stats stopped as soon as they had to compete in Europe & their struggles to find a manager post Claudio R which would raise an eyebrow. I hope it was the impossible dream.

would love to have a read of that if you can share, even at that you are talking about a 32 year old, not a 35 year old.

Milner seems a freak alright, but always has been in terms of distances etc & seems to look after himself. Again could well be juiced to the gills, but again there is nothing to suggest that.

Hmmm Thiago has just come from a similar club, who got Goretska from screech to Arnie in about 6 months so he's already conditioned. Although he has had quite a few injuries the last few years.

Anyway if they buy an expensive CB in Jan, who is leaving to fund it?

There are loads mate. Parkinson with us. Even for them Oxlade Chamberlain, who was also very injury prone. They paid Arsenal about 45 million for him and gave him amassive salary (as he only had 1 year left). I've just looked, he's scored 7 goals for them in the league and looks finished as a footballer to me.

I mean we all slag Sigurdsson off, but for the same money, in a single season he got twice as many goals as Chamberlain has got in 4 years.
