ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Assuming it's his ACL (as suggested) it's tough for him (not them). He has already missed the 2018 CL final due to injury on international duty and done an ACL with Southgate's 21s.

Brings me to a wider point, wonder if players will start questioning if international football is worth it for them, short career's are getting shorter & the demands on the body getting tougher. Wouldn't be surprised of you hear high profile players realising "I love playing for my country, it's the greatest honour as a footballer, but I need to protect my body" etc etc etc

He has been boss since as well.

With international football, less is more. If we really want it to be the pinnacle of football again then we need far fewer matches so it feels like a big deal. There is no need for matches other than qualifiers, playoffs, tournaments and warm ups for tournaments.

Ive always thought that you bin it through the year & every second year, you have a mini qualifier tournament (round robin say) for major tournament qualification for the next summer

He didn't do his ACL before mate, did one of his other ligaments and missed 8-9 months. If it's the same knee it's big trouble.
