Computer games.

Interesting video this. Ever since the DualSense was announced I’ve been eager to see how the haptics and adaptable triggers work. It seems like Microsoft has just tidied up the Xbox One controller whereas Sony has developed something genuinely new and exciting.

This could swing the console war.

All the reviews I’ve seen of it so far have been very positive. Looking forward to having a go on it in a couple of weeks.

On a separate but related point, I’m a big fan of Marques. Think he’s a great tech reviewer

Same. I was always going to go with PlayStation over Xbox but the controller has made it a certainty. I think it’ll be great on Gran Turismo 7.

He’s very good. I’ve not seen that much of him but he explains things very clearly and is a likeable guy.

Looks interesting. Seems like PS have really thought about innovating parts of the user experience which people haven't really considered with this new controller haptic tech and the immersive audio they talked about early on.

What is the reality of getting a PS5 before Christmas do ye reckon? Is it likely to be available just by simply going to the shops later this month? Not bothered about getting one asap around launch date, but would like to get it as soon as generally available.

Haven't been following it like

But what are the chances of getting a series s before Christmas?

I know the demand will be on the power hungry ones but me and the wife were taking this morning and we may get my son one. Gives him a brand new console but he doesn't need the bells and whistle to go with it. Just to be able to play the latest games in the future.

Tbh all he cares about is updated fortnite anyway!

Never seen such strict delivery processes put into place in work than those we have for the PS5 release on Thursday.

It’s almost like we are expecting the couriers to have them all away and deliver us empty boxes.

I think you'll struggle honestly.

This console is going to sell as much by Christmas as the Xbox One and PS4 did in their first 6 months combined.

We would usually get a decent allocation to sell on the launch day.
For both consoles we are only receiving what customers have pre-ordered. If the order is not collected within 3 days, they then go on general sale, but let’s be honest most will get picked up and I would imagine a fair few sold on for profit.

Yeah that's what I was hoping.

I'm doing a little part time work at home soon which should raise a few quid so preferably it will be a straight purchase but had a feeling it would be like that.

All we can do is try then next month lol

Nice in a way, I'm sure my parents had the same experience with the PS1 on its release as well!

Rumours are it might be coming out a week earlier now,got my email today that I'll be getting the series x on Tuesday but not sure if I'll get the ps5 on launch as it was the second wave of the pre orders.

A lot of praise for the SSD, redesigned UI and the controller. Even if you're a purist PC gamer, the PS5 controller might be worth a look.
