ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

This lot looked goosed to me. As an organisation.

Never mind the spawny wins by the odd goal against muck opposition. They wont even get Van Dijk back - even the way he was (and his quality has been exaggerated anyway); the forward line is ageing and has a season after this left in it; the owners aren't the types to spend cash to replenish.

Unless they bring through a handful of very special players or sign absolute diamonds in every department on the cheap, there'll be no setting down of a dynasty there.

If City keep them in sight and dont allow a significant gap to emerge early on, then Liverpool will crack. And that's even before factoring any more injuries to key players.

This is exactly how Liverpool were winning games last Yr. To say they have a season left after this with their forwards seems a bit daft to me. Every team, if offered a great forward line for the next 2 seasons, would bite your hands off to be in that position.

The big plus is how easy they have become to score against, which should mean the odd defeat between now an Christmas.

if teams can cut out the cheap penalties that the RS seem to get, they are very very beatable. They looked quite ineffective against a poor wham side

I said it's not enough to build a dynasty on...not enough to squeeze through two season more. If they stay fit.

They didn't get pumped for 7 goals, or concede 15 in 7 games last season. The next few games will see what they are all about.
