I couldn’t. Look at the teams down there. Sheffield United, Burnley, Fulham, they have limited players but they’ll all make it difficult for you to play against them. Sigurdsson is the easiest midfielder in the league to play against. He can’t get near his opponent, and even if they let him take it past them, a light jog let’s then get back goal side with ease.

He’ll have one moment maybe in a game where he’ll get a chance to hit one on his right foot. If that doesn’t go in then there’s no point in playing him any more after that.

If he could return to the so could "Giant killer" form he could have his uses, altough come to think about it the game have changed so you may be right

Struggling to think of a line up that is going to work. Our right side is going to be exposed. The formation suggested at the top of the thread is the best bet but maybe Bernard for Iwobi. I thought we could maybe overload the midfield with Davies and Delph but we'd have no attacking options.

Time for one of Bernard, Iwobi or Gordon to step up and prove their worth.

Pickford.
Kenny...Godfrey.....Keane.....Mina........Delph.
Doucoure.....Allan.......Nkounkou.
Siggy.
DCL.
On looking on who is available. For what it's worth....that's my revised team for tomorrow. First thing is to be tight and not concede. Then nick a goal and win the match. Nkounkou and Delph on the left. Nkounkou further forward. Delph disciplined in behind him.
Kenny.....Doucoure.....Godfrey all covering any threat down our right.
Keane and Mina to pose problems from corners...freekicks.
.. Siggy further forward hopefully supporting DCL.
Gordon to.come on if that (siggy) doesn't seem to be working.I

To start tomorrow with any combinations of Gomes.....Davies.....Bernard.....Siggy......Iwobi.......would be reverting to the slow and predictable midfield nonsense of last season. None of us want that.
Just one of that bunch at any one time....... So it's Siggy that I would start. Reason being that he can if on his game have a pop from distance. And I suppose he is maybe just the better on set piece play.
I'd take a 1-0 win right now. But of course I'm (we) are hoping for more.
Just hope that we turn up tomorrow. Get a lead. And don't look back.....
But who knows with Everton. Who TF knows? Up The Toffees.....

That’s one awful team.

This game is perfect for our squad to show what they have. No excuses now. We need our players to step up, so this will tell us who can and who just isn't up to it. I have no faith in most of them, but it'll be lovely to be wrong...

The players in the squad dont give a toss mate.

The same dossers who last season were strolling around the pitch, pulling out of 50/50 tackles and avoiding the ball like it was a hot potato.

The likes of Iwobi, Siggurdsson, Bernard are cowards to a man.

Sig, without a doubt yes. The other two are probably unfair in that categorisation. Iwobi is nowhere near good enough but that is a different conversation. Bernard remains an enigma. It is possible there is a player in there with a run of 90 min starts.
