ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Similar to city last year, the injuries to laporte & Van Dijk are a massive problem because they pulled Fernandinho and Fabinho out of position to cover, that was city's bigger problem than losing laporte last season.

Liverpool desperately need Matip and Gomez to settle down as a two, but that just seems unlikely, Matip appears to be broken, I dont think he has ever had a sustained run of games with out picking up something.

The welsh right back williams looks decent cover for trent,

Matip is ctually quite good, though not really in Klopp's system without a Van Dijk next to him, As you say though, he's nearly 30 and can't stand up to 1 game a week nevermind 2.

Most of them hate Lineker because he's a decent bloke and quite progressive, so for your average tory gammon frothing about Brexit he drives them to incandescent rage. It's a glorious site, and you know the rise in blood pressure and subsequent collesterol will drive a few of them to an early death as well. When you're fat, useless and talentless as most of them are, it's best not to get so irate about people basically just doing the right things.

Yep some of the degenerate views and lifestyle will catch up on many but then there’s some who slip through the cracks..

Completely agree, if they could keep Matip and Gomez fit with Fabinho as "1st reserve" they are in a pretty good place relative to the rest of the league

The big challange is they all seem to have consistent injury problems

Yea and it's a huge if. All 3 are injury prone, particularly Matip. I mean I also think it's a very ordinary defence at PL level as well. Fabinho is clumsy and a midfielder. Matip is the best of the 3 and probably just a top 6 defender. Gomez is really a bottom 6/championship standard defender who happens to be quick. If he played for a Burnley he'd be really exposed.
