I feel quite confident about this one ( first time in a long time ) especially knowing their goalkeeper is missing, he has saved them on quite a few occasions.

I think their backline also is jittery without them. Its actually mad how much he does for them confidence wise

Exactly 10 years to the day when we last beat this shower when we step foot on to Goodison on Saturday.

If there is such a thing called fate, then this must be it...surely.

Our best team in years and best start in generations, if we can’t lay a glove on these and finally beat them I’m at a loss as to when we ever will again. This is, truly, our best opportunity to end this horrific hoodoo.

The first league derby was on 13/10/1894 at home. We had won all previous 7(seven) games from the start of the season and topped the league.
Result? We won 3-0....comfortably according to reports.
Just do it Blues!!
;) ;)

Two 2nd half goals added to the 1st [T McInnes 11. A Latta 59. J Bell 88.]. Liverpool were 13th at the start of the game,[14th at the end lol] in a 16 team league, The game that stoped our winning run back then was a 4-3 lost away to Blackburn

I remember that-one! Was rainin' cats & dogs and me old fella had a halibut bone stuck in his throat. Got it out with a spade. Good old days, jumpers for goalposts...

let's not forget they are probably the best club team in world football at the moment. There is a reason we haven't laid a glove on them recently, they've been winning leagues and Champions Leagues. Whereas we finished our last campaign losing at home to relegated Bournemouth. There is still an awful bridge to gap, James notwithstanding. We've got to be as cagey as hell at the weekend, and remember what we're up against.

Think it's best for us to play the 11 rs on the pitch, not their reputation, although I do understand your caution.

Since last beating them at Goodison Park there has been 9 Goodison derbies.

7 draws and 2 losses (one of which was the Suarez cheating, Rodwell red card derby, with the red card subsequently being rescinded).

We have remained competitive at Goodison throughout this period.

It is at Anfield that our record is truly terrible.

It’s our win record that is terrible, not so much our overall record at Anfield. Considering how good they’ve considered themselves to be at times since we last beat them there’s been a remarkable number of draws. In fact I think more than half of the derbies since 99 at Anfield have been draws which means that when Liverpool play is at home they’re less likely to win. I’m not sure they’d have that sort of record against most mid table teams in the prem. The only stat anyone cares about though is the win one which we obviously haven’t done since 99 at Anfield. Someone like Villa will win a one off though and then lose the other 9 time’s they play there. We’ll draw 6 and lose 4 but just keep getting reminded about not winning.

Such a huge game this. If Everton win the belief will go through the roof and likely (hopefully) undermine the RS confidence that has been coarsing through them for pretty much two years now which could set the wheels in motion for a proper collapse.
