I fancy they'll drop Gomez who's been a whipping boy for their poor defence and go with Matip and Van Dijk.

Both very good in the air which I imagine they'll play to counter DCL's aerial strength.

I hate to be a downer but hasn't everyone on here been on here enough to know how this goes? I find myself every day hungrily waiting for the game with enormous anticipation that this is 'our year'. But there is also a part of me that feels that losing this game badly is inevitable. It is one of the most extreme dichotomies I have ever experienced...

Not taking anything away from Villa but Liverpool played a suicidal high line against Villa and got 2 or 3 deflection goals? If we got that kind of luck it would be bliss. It'll be a tight game. Mane needs marking out of the game for us to win.
Allan and Doucoure will need to do a lot of work.
