We have to beat these.

When was the last time something was riding on the league derby? We’ve had sod all to play for for the last few seasons so now there’s something meaningful to play for (league toppers) and we have a decent side, go all out and claim their pretend-socialist-but-actually-very-very-tory scalp.

What Villa did isn't going to happen 2 games on the bounce, expect a much harder game this time and given our record against them recently one we could do with winning, even just to stop them gloating they ended our 100% start. why did it have to be these shower next ffs.

Why shouldn't he?

He's fielded his under 23's in the past, and still beat us.

With Everton playing well. And sitting top of the league with 4 wins in 4 played.
Don't think.that he will be playing his kids...........do you really think that he will?
Ps.......you've sort of missed my point. Klopp was taking the @@## before. He knew we hadn't much of a midfield. He knew that we were vulnerable. He knew that we were useless. Don't think that he will be taking any chances on Saturday.

I remember thinking they are running out of interesting ways to beat us. I thought they had and then they walloped us with the kids. Now we have the taking away our 100% record derby. They are like snow flakes. Each one unique.

Can you imagine them though, they're unbearable at the best of times.

The only thing about this one is we would be unbearable too. I think, well speaking for myself but the last few years I’d look to a derby and thinking if we win it’d be fantastic but it’s nothing to gloat about giving it took us long enough. But in these present circumstances. Six point gap. Top of the table. It would be the best ever time to
Win a derby baring that semi final. Because I will be unbearable make no mistake.

Let’s be honest if you said we would win our first four league games and first three Cup games and our next opponent had just conceded Seven we would be buzzing with that at the start of the season.

Imagine we had just conceded seven going into a derby, this place would be on suicide watch, but it is them, they are the ones who have looked unbelievably vulnerable, and they are the ones who the pressure is on.

Seven flattered Liverpool too. It really should have been a lot, lot more.

An empty Goodison should hopefully take the edge off this. Even last season we were the width of the post away from beating a far better Liverpool team with a far worse Everton one. I doubt the likes of Allan or James will care it’s Liverpool, they’ll just get onto that empty pitch and start doing their thing. If we can avoid doing anything unbelievably stupid in the first 10 minutes we should have a platform to go and win it. I always worry that the likes of Pickford Keane Coleman have got so much baggage from past fixtures they’re either overhyped for the game or bricking it in the tunnel. If we can just get to the 30 mins at 0-0 ten v ten if should become apparent to everyone on the pitch that we could see these off.

Let say like this: baggage from the past is this time advantage, cause they are aware this time Everton team is far better then in many past derbys, ready to shred off burden with quality they have on the pitch. Don't need this time to get to the 30 mins at 0-0. Quite opposite, we should by then score. Make them nervous and insecure.

Before the last match, I'm sure Carlo said that if we had played on the Sunday or Monday, Gomes would have been ok to play. So I'm asuming that, unless he's picked up another knock in training or gone full Richard Wright mode at home, he'll be fine for the derby.
lets hope so mate. Gomes-Doucs-Allan midfield will lock their game, they will struggle big time
