I would personally play our First XI.

I think Carlo will play something like this side however, in order to get important squad players like Delph, Sigurdsson and Iwobi as many minutes as possible. Giving Nkounkou minutes against a Prem side will also be beneficial considering he is our second left back and Digne is unlikely to play every single league match.

Pickford
Coleman Mina Keane Nkounkou
Doucoure Delph Sigurdsson
Iwobi DCL Richarlison

Virginia, Digne, Allan, Gomes, James, Bernard, Kean

Still wouldn’t risk Mina until another cb is back and fit. Reckon Lucas starts at cb again. Also think Bernard will start in the middle of the 3 again with Gordon getting the nod wide left.

yep, probably fair, though Haller is gonna start tonight and has five goals (4 from the last two EFL cup games) so is in form - Keane will need to track him

I think that is pretty much spot on, although I think he will have Kenny in the side over Coleman, and not sure he we will risk both CBs.

I don't think we should go in to a match against a Prem side without proper centre halves.

After this match and Brighton on Saturday, we have a two week break and then no midweek matches until December. I think it is a low risk.

Remember when people laughed at Haller - play him in the right set up and feed him chances and he shall score.

well I mean he’s only been starting in the league cup and scored the fourth as a sub the other day

not sure he’s really been ‘played in the right set up’ in that sense, but he has got goals in his last few games

that doesn’t reduce the risk of a one-off injury, though
