For me if we cant flog them send them to formby beach until their contracts expire in 12-24 months and let Usmanovs sponserships cover the excess wages.

Im telling you we'll be kicking ourselves if we dont take advantage of this season - Citeh and RS aside top 4 and a trophy is right up for grabs - or an injury or two and its Davies & Iwobi swanning around the pitch giving every ball away.

I've been on the Jovic bandwagon but it brings up a very simple problem that Kean has: he's not really going to get gametime unless we play a 4-4-2 as Richarlison does a TON of the "dirty" work that doesn't really get brought up. And I think Kean could be great as a foil for DCL.

I think at this time we need to focus on depth, especially at the back and GK.

We also need a quality super sub on attack. If we win vs Brighton we have to start considering that this season could be special and make every effort to go all in.

Shore up the back
Buy depth upfront and a proper creative player to cover for James

But why stop there?

Players like Allan and Rodriguez aint no Spring chickens at nearly 30 - this isnt a 4-5 long term project the aim should be to capitalise now, get top 4 and use that to attract the quality of players who long term will succeed the likes of James and Allan into the future.

No point accepting 5th-7th and needing to replace those players will inevitable lesser quality in the coming seasons.

We're not playing Fifa but I like your enthusiasm.

Get them 5 out and its huge savings on wages with absolutely no impact to the first team 11. Centre back is the obvious hole to fill. If the right player becomes available who can play across the front 3, those outs might also make that an option.

I think you have to add Davies, Delph, Kean and Kenny to that list as potential outgoings, so it reads like this:

Besic - He will go, on the cheap, probably to a championship club.

Sandro - He will go, on the cheap, to a Spanish club.

Bolasie - He will go somewhere, on the cheap, to the championship or abroad.

Davies - Could go, but it is likely to be a loan that won’t bring in a lot of money.

Kean - Could go, again it will only be a loan, but could save us significant wages that could perhaps be used elsewhere.

Tosun - Won’t go. Still injured. Not enough interest in him.

Walcott - Won’t go. Too expensive for most clubs that would be interested and he will be happy to leave on a free next summer.

Delph - Won’t go. He’s an expensive pain in the arse, and I don’t think many clubs will be interested in him.

Kenny - Won’t go. It looks like he will be back up for Coleman this season.

So we have a fair bit of excess fat that still needs trimming to make us leaner and more efficient. We will get rid of some of them and be lumbered with the others.

It should leave us with enough room to bring in at least one more CB and maybe an attacker for the right wing or upfront, imo.

Good post but Tosun is training with the first team again, pictures shown earlier this week with Sandro and Besic.

He will go but for half the 20 million expected last year.

A new Keeper would do me, happy for Branthwaite to be cover and Holgate hopefully will be back but it's only an injury or two away from bare bones so maybe A CB as well.
