So players looking for a spot on the bench for Saturday will be

Virginia/Tyrer or Lossl
Kenny
Nkounkou
Walcott
Davies
Gylfi
Delph
Bernard
Kean
Gordon
Iwobi

I think it'll be

Virginia
Nkounkou
Davies
Gylfi
Bernard
Kean
Gordon

I expect it will be walcott and not bernard.

West Brom / Palace / Brighton

Dont care what the scores are, just want wins.
I expected 2 home wins, and a draw or more at palace, & expected a draw at best v spurs last week though, before we kicked off the season.
so i thought 7/8 points from 1st 4 games,
We could go for the 8th year in a row tomorrow not losing in the 1st 2 games, and dont think i am wrong but if we do win tomorrow then v palace if we won that, it would mean 3 wins in a row at the start which we have not done for over 20 years - seems like 92-93,but no point looking to far ahead just yet

If we don’t meet the lower/mid table teams it doesn’t matter a lick that we beat Spurs. Taking these three would be a bigger statement than beating Spurs.

If we want to be serious this season.

If we want to have an impact on the table.

We have to be looking at 8 wins from our first 11 games.

Even if its 6 wins with 2 draws and 3 defeats were on 2pts a game before a very hairy run of games.

To get to 20pts as fast as possible sets us up for a high performing season.

We need 12 wins minimum in the first half of the season.

One down 3pts ;) 18more to go...

Could see Gordon getting a game ahead of Bernard tomorrow unless he knackered himself on Wednesday. both of them covered a lot of ground in that game much like Nkounkou. I could see the young Neills being on the bench as he provides reasonable cover for Digne but might also get a little cameo at the end in Left wing if needed. Having someone in the starting XI who can do somehting magical to break down the persistent defence seems like a good dea. Not sure that person is Gomes.
Nonetheless all the starters from last Sunday seem fit and healthy so 'in Carlo we trust'!

It could be that Coleman is asked to move inside if we need someone to play at right centre back, and Digne will cover left centre back tbf. Thankfully both are experienced and hopefully could do a job out of position if worst comes to worst.

Hopefully not though!!
I think that is more likely. Kenny is more experienced than Nkonkou and I think will be picked before him.
