He's 20.

Josh King - and I like Josh King - is 28.

The lad could have had a hat-trick tonight. He worked hard and yes, missed a golden chance. But stepped up to take the pen and got his goal, then was very unlucky not to have a second.

He needs time and to play in a functioning team - hopefully that's the start of it now. If the club sell they're stupid.
He is going to find it very hard to get regular game time though.
A loan where he would be a regular starter would benefit him and probably us long term . But then we would need another option.

I wish he would just do the easy thing once in a while and he would be a much better player for it. He always wants to do a piece of skill when he still hasn’t fully got the ball under control which invariably means he gives it away. He must be a nightmare at the minute for the midfield to play with because the ball comes back past them quicker than the ball is played to him.
I have always wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt and thought he would come good but as others have said he just doesn’t seem happy. I would cut my losses I think but would have to be a sale with % on next move and none of this 2 year loan with an option to buy stuff.

Well he's one injury or suspension away from starting.

He'll start in the next cup tie I'm sure.

It's part of being a squad. We've invested a lot in him and he's going to play with far better players this season than he did last.

Tbf the number of times the 3 midfielders played a ball into him was probably in the single digits which is part of the issue.
