Changing your mind doesn’t invalidate a contract.
He could have negotiated a shorter contact, or inserted a release clause but that would have meant accepting a lower wage.
He chose the money.
Tough.
Contracts are intended to be binding that is their purpose ,in general life as well as football.
I do feel like if we are going for it we might as well go FULLY in

Zaha’s agent is at fault not Zaha himself. Should have inserted a reasonable release clause in his contract.Changing your mind doesn’t invalidate a contract.

No my guy. If you think Zaha wasnt told the info contained in his contract before he signed it youre just being silly. He chose the money over ‘freedom’, which is fine. Id probably do the same. No reason to pretend his agent did him dirty behind his back tho.Zaha’s agent is at fault not Zaha himself. Should have inserted a reasonable release clause in his contract.
What we talking about here?

Agree with what you are saying but it is very difficult to keep an unsettled player happy and playing well. If Zaha stays at Palace and has a poor season his contribution may not be enough to justify keeping him and his price, when he eventually sold, will be even less. Difficult conundrum for all.......Can't really blame Palace, we'd expect the same of Everton, if we sold one of our best players as the season started for fee that wasn't ridiculously overpriced people would have serious questions over what the club were thinking. There's absolutely no reason for them to sell Zaha if they only get enough money in to replace him with a single player themselves, they already know he will win them games this season.
Unfortunately for them they know he wants to go but the current Covid world means the high price tag they've put on him is just not realistic anymore, no-one is going to want to spend the kind of money they want when the season could easily end if there was a spike in cases with players and games are constantly postponed. They're obviously trying to drive some interest in a sale but it doesn't look like anyone is biting.
I’m sure he will have done, but any decent agent would have inserted a release clause in his contract. I wonder if he’s still with the same agent. No my guy.
