....I distinctly remember that tackle, Dario, and your Dad wasn’t wrong. Terrific player, Jimmy Husband, i was only young but he was a clear stand-out in that 1965 FA Youth Cup Winning team.
Wasn't Mackay playing for Derby County when he made that tackle? Seem to remember it was a night match...could be wrong.

I think the highlight of his career when he retires will likely be that goal for Colombia that announced him on the world stage but to say he’s done nothing since is massively ignorant. When he plays, he scores and assists. The stats have been posted infinite times or you could Wikipedia them if you don’t know.
He may not be Kevin De Bruyne (few would argue there) but our current midfield isn’t even Kevin Kilbane!

Yeah OK mate. He isnt even in the same league as KDB. And people wonder why our fan base gets called deluded.

Rodriguez has done nothing but score a fantastic goal in a world cup and been nothing but a let down at Madrid and also his loan spell at Bayern.

To even suggest he is anywhere near the level of KDB is quite mad.

There must be something about Everton that brings you joy...

Scoring a Puskas Award winning goal being held against you is quite weird imo.

Why do people keep parroting this?

You’re right on him not being at the same level as KDB, but to say he’s done nothing since 2014 is a complete fallacy. Injury problems galore, yes that’s a massive concern, but has still maintained a near 1 goal and assists per 3 games record when he’s played.

When fit, he is an elite tier player... it’s just the staying fit part that I’m most concerned with.

Plus he's been competing with the likes of Ronaldo, Bale, Isco, Modric, Kroos (later Vinicius & Hazard) for a place in Real's team and Muller, Gnabry, Coman, Goretska, Thiago when at Bayern. Both teams were winning Champions League titles at the time, or, in Bayern's case, the year after he left.

Hardly guaranteed a place (despite his injury record, I'm sure a lot of his non-appearances are him just sat on the bench because they had some other worldie winger/ midfielder to bring on) and his goals and assist stats probably don't stand out when compared with the rest of the squad. But Bernard (3) and Siggurdson (3) got the most goals and assists, respectively, of our midfielders last season. Providing he settles in, immediately our best player.
