Whilst this is true, it really does bother me that we spent so much on siggurdsson, iwobi, Bolasie et al. Especially the latter two who have always been horrific and affect our ffp for years. These type of deals do stop us buying a lot more boss players.

I think that we "need" Allan more then him , but he really is the icing on the cake. The fact that Carlo knows him should allay anyone's concerns re his injury history. I am too long in the tooth to be getting over excited , but I will be disappointed now if we don't get him.

Me too! It could fall through, he might come and get injured. He might not suit English football or like living in the north west. But if you can’t buzz off of absolutely top draw talent potentially joining, then what’s the point. Carlo wants him and so do I.
If he played for 60 minutes 38 times he'd likely be player of the year, and that might be what he needs. Regular minutes but not too much.
He’s top, top quality mate, not sure about “world class” though.
