Yep.......that was one match and cup that we let slip away. I remember being glued to the tv watching that final with my old Everton supporting grandad.
That's back in the days when the FA cup actually meant something. Think that my old grandad was locked on Everton to win ( a decent size bet).
One goal for us and I reckon we would have destroyed them.
And didn't we beat them twice in the league.........one match by 6-2.
Ah well.........not much point reliving old battles. But that one does still rankle a wee bit......
