Oh I agree with you on attire. I laugh at the pro-cycling gear worn by people who have never been and never will be a pro rider. I expect the likes of @Bruce Wayne wear gear like that.
You don't have to wear pro team replica kit but properly designed cycling clothing makes any outing of more than 10 minutes very much more comfortable.
