2019/20 Richarlison

I love Richarlison. He is not the complete player though. He is by some distance the best forward in the PL in the air. Hardworking. And strong on the ball. But he's not particularly fast. Nor is he a clever dribbler -- he rarely gets past an opponent if starting from a standing position. If things do develop in the next few weeks in a way that makes it look like he might be sold then I hope we have a replacement in mind already. And in this regard I'd go for Sarr at Watford. He doesn't have Richarlison's aerial prowess but he makes up for that with his speed and dribbling ability. In his career to date he has also played CF as well as wide on both wings. Puts in a shift too. Could be as good as Mane in the near future.

He told Globo Esporte: “I evolved a lot here at Everton – now with Ancelotti I will grow more. He (Ancelotti) asked me to hold on a little, but it all depends, if a good proposal arrives we sit down and talk. But I think I can hold on for another season.”

I prefer a player like this who is honest. I will be gutted if he goes but cant blame the lad. He is our best player by a clear mile and will bring in a decent fee but trusting brands to spend it wisely is a bit worrying.

If we get Europa next year hopefully he will stay.

I mean Richarlison is really quite fast mate.

Sarr is a good player and we need a right winger in his style imo – someone who is rapid, keeps the width etc. Would be a good addition.

Richarlison is quite fast but nothing special in that regard. He rarely outpaces defenders on to through balls (not that he gets many) and doesn't often cleanly go past players, using his body strength instead.

But not many players have the pace/ability with the ball he does - i.e. his goal v Crystal Palace. None of our players could do that, other than him.

His main ability generally is how he uses his pace off the ball. Getting into space for crosses etc.

He's a fantastic player and we need to do all we can to ensure he stays.

maybe this alleged quote from Richarlisson is the kick n the pants the Everton board need....give me some support with decent players around me or I am off

Players that good don’t stock around at bottom half teams. Everyone on here knows that but some will still call us a selling club when he eventually goes. There’s only Barca Real Madrid and City in the world who don’t sell upwards. Every other club in Europe has to, even PSG will probably sell both Neymar and Mbappe to Barca and Madrid at some point.

If Sancho played for Schalke hed struggle to get 10 goals OR 10 assists.

If he played for Everton...the same.

You take Richarlison and put him up top in that Dortmund side and he slots 30+ goals.

Its not even a discussion...its obvious he'd hit double what he does for us. For starters hed be playing a lot more games against far worse teams.

I think youre missing the point that Dortmund play in Germany + Europe and are one of the best sides in both competitions while Everton are playing in a far superior league sat in 12th.

If we sold Richarlison for south of £130mil then id want a few people fired.
The players who have scored 30 Bundesliga goals in the last 20 years are Lewandowski and Aubameyang so you're right it isn't a discussion but for the opposite reason of what you're saying.

Yeah hardly anyone scores 30 goals a season these days, you have to be in a top side with lots of much weaker opponents to even get close to it.

You’ve picked 2 out of the 3 the best teams out of that league beating Premier League sides. It’s nothing Benfica or Porto haven’t done over the years and they also play in a glorified SPL league in Portugal. It’s a generally poor league.

Couple of their best teams, couple of our best teams.

That league has crap like Mainz, we have crap like Brighton.

15pt gap between 2nd and 3rd in the PL this season.

All leagues are the same.
