We certainly do need him to hit the ground running, but with Carlo having been his manager literally less than 12 months ago it shouldn't take him long to get up to speed.

That's a whole lot of average midfielders when you think back to amazing Brazilian teams, they're definitely having a lull in producing in talent atm... By their standards, can't wait for them to be back though.

They are not in the same historical standard of Brazilian football for sure. But Casemiro is always in the best XI of La Liga and won lot of titles. Fabinho is starter of the EPL champion. Arthur has a lot of potential and Bruno Guimaraes who is in europe just for few months, already had some MOTM performances for Lyon in the french league and Champions League. Casemiro-Arthur-Bruno Guimaraes can probably forma very strong midfield compared with the current level of world football. Its not Zico-Socrates-Cerezo though.

Imagine if he was dropped by helicopter onto the pitch and began jogging in mid air so he literally did hit the ground running. He does have a bit of an A-Team look about him.
