I think that some of our players are already on the beach or are imagining themselves in the blazers of their new clubs.

What we are seeing are very typical end of season displays where there is nothing to play for and I think that most already know if they are wanted for next season or not.

When the manager speaks of a lack of professionalism I think it may even be more about the players who are staying than those leaving.

When looking at our team and moreso after a performance that we saw yesterday I tend to ask myself if we could somehow get a 26 year old Keane into that team what impact would he have.
I think his impact would be startling, I think a lot of the squad would have the marks of his fingers around their throats from being throttled by him when they give substantially less than their best.
I think he would rise the standard hugely and the work rate.
I do believe their is a lot of talent in the squad but so many are coasting... including our goalkeeper.

Or Peter Reid / Andy Gray
Because that's exactly what happened in 1983/84.

I thought you were talking about Michael to start with!

Nah. A legal precedent has been set with the successful Man City appeal win.

It’s over. Time for Brands, Moshiri and Uncle Uzzy to go shopping.

Dont think it is that black and white unfortunately. The only real precedent set yesterday was the time-stamping issue. CAS were very clear that some claims from UEFA were invalid and others timestamped (Which suggests the evidence was there but unusable) under UEFA's own 5 year timestamp.

I think UEFA / PL will be desperate to hang on the FFP and probably amend the rules, especially after being made such fools of yesterday, by not understanding their own rules

@catcherintherye (or anyone else)...

If i was worth £10billion and wanted to sponsor something or gift the club £1billion. Yet i had zero shares and was merely a fan...

Would this not account for wiping out the FFP concerns?

Because, if so then what would be the issue with Usmanov doing something similar?

The value would go into the club and the club valuation would soar benefiting Moshiri who could then agree to a side letter or gentlemans agreement for the funds to be returned at a later date or a % of any future sale price.

They can amend the rules all they like. Clubs will circumvent them.

FFP is merely a sword with a blunt edge.

Completely agree. My point is they will now try to sharpen the edges with rule changes; will it work. Not so sure, but I am sure they will try
