DCL and Richie were blowing out their arse for the last 30 minutes of that match.

Definitely looks like Ancelotti doesn't have any faith in him right now.

I don't think I can picture him doing the job and defensive effort that those two contribute. He's likely never had to consider it after coming through at Juventus.

Probably been said already: Pretty much no better time to start him--worst team in the league; perhaps less pressure due to no fan presence, we get 5 subs, their defense/midfield is weak.

And given all these water breaks (i.e., mid-match coaching sessions) Kean should have plenty of time to catch his breath and be reminded of his duties on the pitch. So just start him and see what happens.

Really hope he gets some minutes in the next few games. If he is still used sparingly as a substitute in this period, I don't think it looks good for him under Carlo. I know Rico and DCL are playing well, but they're hardly Messi & Ronaldo upfront. I don't think anyone would have any issues if he started in the next couple of games or was at least brought on at half time. It's very difficult to get into a game from any position as a sub, but more so for me as a striker.. Regardless of what any of us think about his abilities, there is no doubt he would improve from a run in the side. Strikers rely so much more on match sharpness in my opinion.
