Computer games.

Just picked up Total War Three Kingdoms on steam - feeling a bit of Dynasty Warriors flavoured tactical masterclasses (or in my case, tactical horrorshows)

Just finished the story on Star Wars Battlefront 2. Although I don’t mind Star Wars at all I’ve only seen a few of the films and would hardly call myself a fan. I really enjoyed the story though. Good game.

Been playing Wreckfest today and it’s filled the hole Destruction Derby left all those years ago. Great fun.

Two games I'm tempted to pick up.

What's the online like? Before all this me and a mate started playing the original battlefront games and it made me want to try the new one.

Side point is that he bought 2 for the space battles and I don't think we finished one because of how tedious they are 15 years later

Battlefront 2 is free on PS Plus at the moment if you’re on PS4. I had a go at co op online with a mate the other day and it was great fun, but I wasn’t very good so decided to do the story to get a better feel for it.

There’s tonnes of game modes. From what I’ve seen so far the multiplayer is very good.

I’m not a fan of online flying battles (assuming that’s what you’re referring to) but the on the ‘ground’ stuff is fun.

I finally have a game to play after months of just prodding at games without doing anything of note.

Tried The Last of Us (good but not quite my thing), Shenmue (looks really nice, will revisit one day), Cities Skylines (One I need to be in the mood for) and the usual Fifa 20 which is a bit like a hate shag, I do it as I have needs but I dont enjoy it remotely.

Thankfully though I saw Legends of Heroes, Trails of Cold Steel was on sale so I coughed up the cash and I must say I am loving it so far. This will tide me over until Dragon Quest XI comes down in price anyway.

I meant the old flying stuff. I don't recommend it, try a half hour game slowly flying , blowing everything up tediously and then still not won the game.

I'll give the new one I go. I'm on Xbox but if I see it cheap anywhere I'll pick it up.

Yeah that’s what I thought. I don’t mind the odd mission here and there but that kind of stuff gets boring very fast.

I like the big ground battles with loads of random droids, Jedis and various characters involved. I got very bored of the likes of Call of Duty multiplayer and BF2 has a fair bit of variety to keep me interested. I don’t usually go for sci-fi games either.

There’s loads of multiplayer style games vs the AI too if like me you’re not very good at online shooters and don’t want to constantly get owned by teenagers.

Stellaris, little bit of Grim Dawn...that's about it, TBH. Not compelled to mess with much else; cross-platform development has stalled PC gaming as far as I'm concerned. Probably get CyberPunk when it comes out but that's about it. Meh...
