I say it's not enough horror tackles. If the young Coasters can't mix it with the old Coasters then ship them out. If anyone has a reputation for horror tackles then it's the mighty Fylde!Letting some snot-nosed U23 horror tackle a first teamer? Dunc’s clearly got these guys on too high an emotional pitch and when adversity hits like it has so many times before, he won’t be able to turn things round. I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again, Ferguson does not have what it takes to lead our Coasters back to league football.

I'm conflicted. On one hand Dunc is right, but on the other hand, make the lazy bu99ers play more.FERGUSON SLAMS FIXTURE CONGESTION
Speaking before Fylde's match against Hartlepool, Duncan Ferguson hit back at the F.A. for the ridiculous fixture list Fylde are faced with.
DF: We play Southport next Tuesday followed by Boreham Wood on the Friday and Telford on the Monday. We don't have the squad depth in this division to play that frequently. I understand it's a bank holiday tradition but two games for us over that weekend is too much. If we get injuries and suspensions the squad is already down to bare bones.

AFC Fylde vs Hartlepool United
16th March 2027
Fylde have the chance to go joint top with York if they fail to beat Dagenham in this other evening's game. Wright-Phillips comes in for Johnson and Croasdale for the suspended McGavin. Okoroji and Lamptey both start at full back. Fylde were searching for that opening in the first half but it wasn't coming easy for them. 40 minutes gone and Wisdom had a chance from the free-kick on the edge of the box, he laid it off for Henderson who rifled in a right footed shot into the top corner! The news came in at half-time that Dagenham were beating York 1-0. Okoroji was having a good game down the left hand side but Allaway just could not get into the game and was substituted for O'Neill with 25 minutes to play. York had turned it around and Fylde were still looking for the second, Henderson headed into the side netting fom Lamptey's cross. Hartlepool were sloppy in possession and gave the ball away on many occasions, Fylde fans roared their team forward to go for the kill. They worked the ball forward well, Henderson played a nice one-two with Okoroji, Okoroji crossed into the box and O'Neill leapt to win the header taking it past the keeper into the net! It was a dreadul performance from Hartlepool who failed to have a single shot all evening.

Southport vs AFC Fylde
23rd March 2027
Fylde started well but could not turn possession into goals, it was a rare moment for Southport when they won a corner, crossed to the far post by Burrows and Traore was there to head into the net. Fylde were having chances but from outside the box and the keeper was not being tested. Southport were defending very well and were making it tough for Fylde to break into space. Fylde were battling hard for the equaliser, getting the ball into wide areas for crosses to come into the box but there was no end product. Southport had a throw-in deep in the Fylde half, the ball was thrown into the box for Faniyan who held off McGavin, McGavin tried to win the ball but he took the player and the referee gave a penalty. It could all get worse for Fylde. Faniyan put the ball into the top corner, Southport looking to be claiming the points today. Sam Allaway looked to get onto Tyler Garrett's pass but the defender got there first, Allaway kept running and tackled nicely, he came forward but he hit the post with his shot, Allaway got the rebound....goal! Fylde back in it with four minutes to play. Southport managed to run down the clock and take the points, Fylde will be disappointed they could not take their chances as they hammered Southport but the home side finished well and done the double over Fylde this season.Fylde missed the chance to go top of the league as York and Hereford both lost.

AFC Fylde vs Boreham Wood
26th March 2027
Will it be a 'Good Friday' for Fylde as they take on Boreham Wood and look to keep the pressure on York City at the top? Boreham Wood can go into 4th with a win today so it will not be easy for Fylde. Paul Townsend was back from injury and was given the nod by Ferguson. After the struggle to convert against Southport, Ferguson left O'Neill out of the team after many fans claim the striker is inconsistent and is not justifying his place in the team. With it being a critical period for Fylde, it is up to Ferguson to make the right decision to get Fylde finishing strong. It didn't take long for the first goal and Ryan East caught the keeper and the wall off guard when he curled his free kick around the wall on 4 minutes. Ryan East had to go off after 19 minutes with a groin injury, Ryan Croasdale came on in his place. Ferguson's comments about fixture congestion could come up again after the game. Boreham Wood came out fighting in the second half forcing a good save from Foster to win an early corner. The ball was crossed in by Patterson to Purrington who headed towards goal but Feeney cleared off the line with a good header. Fylde were in possession, Henderson played it into the centre for Ferguson, he found Johnson who turned and hit it with venom on his left foot into the top corner! What a strike from the winger! Patterson was a danger on the flanks and was not being closed down, he crossed in for the diving header of Wakeling who buried it past Foster. Boreham Wood came close not long after, their free-kick hitting the top of the bar then going out of play. Ferguson told his side to slow the game down in the closing stages as they looked to seal the points. The whistle blew and it was a successful afternoon at Mill Farm. York City were held by Chester and it closed the gap to one point.
DF: I see Chester done us a small favour, I'll have to buy Wayne a drink when I see him! But there's still a lot of work to do.

It appears to be a three-way horse race for the title, York, Fylde and Hereford all in the hunt for the National League title and automatic promotion to the Football League.
Upcoming fixtures
AFC Telford vs Fylde
Newport County vs York City
Scunthorpe United vs Hereford
What a signing Johnson and Allaway have been. Ferguson has proved beyond all doubt that he will get to the very top. Don't be surprised if the likes of Wycombe, MK Dons, Chicago Fire come knocking on the door for him.
We have to get promoted this season its a simple as that.
