ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Don't like when Heysel is brought up, don't lower yourselves to that people. Plenty of other more reasonable things to despise them for.
I'd agree if it was a case of our fans bringing it up at every opportunity. The sad fact is that it isn't. Much like the Luis suarez racism incident or one of theirs trying to cave a waiter's head in, it is their airbrushing of history that sticks in people's throats. Do they show any remorse or even respect to the events?.... no.

Just had my daily check of Facebook.

No mention of today.

Plenty of mention of winning the league though. Going to be great when it kicks in how noone will care and by the time they see the trophy it will be a new season

Yes it's interesting isn't it? The one day of the year they get a chance to show a smidgen of remorse for that horrific event and all they can talk about is winning the league.
Enough said Blue People.

It boils my blood how they just ignore Heysel as if it never happened :-(
There's a swiss tv documentary 'Le drame du Heysel' (85) just running through being at the stadium all day and what was happening and its shocking to view on so many levels :-( Talking with Juventus and Liverpool fans and you can physical feel how their heads are never going to be the same after that day :-( and then finishs with but EUFA decided to play match and Redshite won :-(

Sorry made error typing redshite won but can't edit post now

I dont think its low to point out that THEY were responsible, not Chelsea, not right wing groups, not Roma, not Uefa, they were, they have never accepted that, never held their hands up and apologised,it took 25 years for them to hold up a friends banner,a set of fans that scour twitter going back years looking for some thing to turn on a player,a player who was a kid,yet have minds that go completely blank at the biggest stain on English football, this is a club that laughed at the ban, NEC,no european cup, ha ha ha, Bucharest banners scarves and songs,so no I wont ignore it thanks

To be fair mate; I err more to @EFCPaul's view point on this, I know we're better than them scumbags so I don't feel it necessary to throw their shameful past at them. I completely get your view here though, Dominic Cummings FC and their weaponised customers do beg for it sometimes...

Trouble is, as Ive said many a time on here, as shown in their many past shameful episodes, their subsequent default mode is that, if they dont speak or refer to it, it didnt really happen. Its a broad spectrum from the racist defending t shirts/the excrement hurling/the treatment of their disabled fans section etc etc ad nauseam. It has to include Heysel. Any reminder to them at least prevents them all disappearing into the ether via their liberal and blatant use of the airbrush.

Yes that is very true. But it is inherent in their very being, they were formed by a tory, founded upon tory principles, and yet somehow their fans would have you believe they are some sort of bastion of socialism. I would love for one of them to simply explain, how?

I get it mate, I truly do. Maybe it's just me playing Devil's advocate before.
It just boils down to personal preference, I guess.
