The thing that winds people up with Son was his holier than thou attitude and rubbish he came out with after he broke a fella's leg. There was no contrition, all just this contrived theatre to avoid him taking any responsibility. If he'd have just held his hands up, admitted what he did wrong and taken his medicine I think people would have had a lot more respect for him.

I mean he's probably not Normal Hunter, but I doubt Norman Hunter would have tried to make himself the real victim after snapping a players leg.

It was clear to see that Son was gutted Gomes broke he's leg but I don't think Son broke he's leg, I think Gomes's leg got broke when he went into Aurier after Son tripped him with he's petulant trip.

Son got in touch with Gomes the next day and apologised for he's part of the accident and as far as I know, nobody at Everton came out and blamed Son for the accident and Gomes had no problem in accepting Son's call?

I think Aurier got off big time from that really. However It was Son's tackle that caused the leg break by having his leg trapped. I don't think he set out to do that, but I do think he set out to hurt him. You could see the anger on his face. I do sort of think, you know if you go around doing that and someone gets seriously hurt, then I dont have much sympathy. I had a mate, who ended up pounding his neighbour when I was younger, and the poor fella ended up dying. I remember saying the same thing too. A lot of people said he didn't mean to do it, but my view was, if you act like a thug and someone ends up dying due to a complication, I have no sympathy.

As for Gomes and Everton. Everton are a massive soft touch. Its one of my big pet hates. We are just a soft touch. We never stand up for ourselves. I mean our manager came on TV and said he had no issue with VAR when Deli Alli volley balled the ball away off a corner. As for Gomes, he seems a nice bloke. Very forgiving. Thats his call. It still doesn't change what happened though.

I don't think anybody is saying Son's the worst player going. I just found his response, one minute saying how sorry he was, the next putting in an appeal a bit of a kick in the nuts.

The club put in the appeal and as it was overturned, it was proved to be the correct decision.

I do get your and others feelings about it all but..... ;)

Well as I said, it got overturned because they pulled out all the stops.

If the rules on the difference between a yellow and a red when reckless is endangering a player, I can't see how shattering a fella's leg isn't dangerous. It's insulting really. But essentially the FA will be happy to keep Spurs happy over Everton. They are a disgrace really.

That gives off the impression that Spurs are thought of as a bigger club than Everton :p?

Honestly your honour, it stands for what all women call me. "Horny Hunk" :p.

"Harry Hotspur" was my guess...

I wonder how Harry would have done if he had stayed?

Poch gets huge praise but i think Redknapp would have surprised people.

Of course we all see what our own players do through a little bit of rose tinted glasses. I don't expect any Spurs fans to look badly upon Son but you'd probably have a different opinion if the shoe was on the other foot.

I cannot stand Rednapp, the person. A greedy shady money grabbing old scrote.
I refuse to watch that Harry's Heroe's because of him.

Yes, you was nearly correct about my username H.H.
Henry (Percy) Hotspur, a nobleman from Northumberland who battled the Scots, owned all the land around the Spurs stadium (hence Northumberland Park which is now what you away supporters use to get to the new away section.)*

*Damn, I've let it slip that women don't think I'm a Horny Hunk :p

You ain't wrong there.
John Fashanu broke the nice Gary Mabbutt's skull and eye socket with the most disgusting elbow assault almost bang in front of me.
Now days he would have been suspended for 6 months and then also been arrested for assault. I bite my tongue when people say "It was the Wimbledon way and it was the only way that they could compete."

And that the general public who saw him on Gladiators all will agree that Fash is such a lovely man and wouldn't hurt a fly. Awooga!

And Vinny Jones ended Gary Stephens career but he is a Z list celeb now and cried when his Mrs died so it gets swept under the carpet.
