Kompany saying VVD is the best PL defender of all time. He’s immense, he really is but did Nemanja Vidic play golf or something? Terry and Ferdinand were both better than him also.

I get the people love a Liverpool wankfest and aside from Gerrard they can’t look back on any truly great Liverpool players in the PL era (no Owen doesn’t make it Ballon D’Or or not) but I’ve did it before and I’ll say it again a player being really good now can just be “really good”. They don’t have to be made out to be the best ever when anyone with a memory slightly better than that of a goldfish will know that’s untrue.

I’m not a stat lord but Vidic’s individual stats (the absolute ones that actually matter) are far better than VVD, and as I’m told by everyone connected to football that they also have the best GK, LB and RB in world football you’d actually expect VVD to be doing a bit better.

To be fair to the media though, he must be a world class player because according to them, everytime they have ever conceded a goal in those 2 years it's had nothing to do with him.

He’s world class for sure but being world class now doesn’t mean you’re the best defender in history like is being constantly pushed. It breaks me how everyone now has to be made out as some kind of freak (aside from the obvious two) and no one who came even a few years before is allowed to have been as good or better than them.

Hazard was another media daring a very good player but hardly a “generational talent” and there have been plenty down the years better than him.

The fact that a huge chunk of their fanbase is resorting to David Icke levels of conspiracy theory to make out there is an agenda to deny them their precious title.

Forget the fact that 3 actual humans have contracted an illness that could be potentially dangerous to older members of their family and club staff. No, as usual, it’s all about them.

I get what your saying but it’s not like Carragher or Danny Murphy said it, it was Kompany, City legend and City mouthpiece, why would he be implicit in a Liverpool &@£&fest? Get this, people have opinions, whilst I don’t agree with it. Don’t let it get to you. Quite a few of this Liverpool side are on UEFA lists, European lists, World lists Etc etc because they are very good. Not everyone has a Kopite agenda, sometimes people can appreciate very good players no matter who they play for.
