Assassin's Creed Valhalla officially announced and a reveal trailer will be out tomorrow. Pretty excited about runny, jumpy, stabby in the Viking age

I was pretty tired of the franchise by the time Unity came out, but the last two (Origins and Odyssey) were excellent (big Witcher 3 rip offs mind)

Origins had the better open world for me with the Pyramids, which looked spectacular, and Odyssey had the return for ship combat which was great fun and the Odysseun mythical beasts to fight, but the open world looked very samey to me.

If they can balance the interesting world with the ship combat for this, it could be really good.

Here's the cinematic trailer for AC Valhalla and an article discussing elements of the game. Sadly it seems naval warfare will be largely absent. Makes sense given that's not what vikings did but still a shame. Interesting that you will now have your own settlement that develops as you move through the game.

It's being released on PS5 and Xbox Series X as well as current gen in "Holiday 2020"
