Reckons most deals will be player swaps and loans between clubs and very little money changing hands.

I know people think we're rich but after the last AGM it's clear we still need to be smart. Lots of discussions on this thread and the wider news outlets of transfers happening but personally, if or when there is a window, it'll be one of the weirdest we've seen in years.

Agreed.
I think fwiw , as players come out of contract they will move on and we will replace them.
But the money splurging merry go round will not be seen for a long long time , if ever again.

I’d take either Pope or Henderson whose on loan at sheff United over pickford.

....the answer to your 2nd question is ‘Somebody better’ and it’s why Brands is paid so much money. It’s a big world out there and Brands should have a view of the global market. I’d definitely be tempted if there is an offer for Pickford but I’d be surprised if there is.

Man City pay better than any club in the world and they reached that point very early in the process. That's why Tevez went for example. We don't do that.

And city didn’t have to adhere to FFP regulations when the shiek took over. They wouldn’t have had the success so quickly if they had.

Based on some of Jordan's attempts at saves this season we wouldn't have fared much worse with the actual Pope in nets.
