I think a more sensible and realistic club they should try and emulate is RB Leipzig.

Spend all the money on the training ground, the academy, coaches and a vast scouting network. Buy in young players and develop them for the first team.

It'll take a few years to get it all in place but not only will it improve the team but when the players leave for a healthy profit the club will become self sufficient.

Isn't city kind of trying to emulate it? Don't they have a spanish club plus NYCFC, and maybe an aussie club? I honestly don't know about the last one

Why would a sheikh or whatever it is not look at us with the new stadium and plough their money there. All the money in the world won't make Newcastle a big club who challenges for anything. Why not buy a sleeping giant and change the future?
