The worst thing that could ever happen is the league being voided. While we would find it funny initially, can you imagine the outcry from them. It would last for DECADES. That's quite plausible. They've traded Mookie Betts, arguably their MVP, and starting pitcher David Price, plus left-hander Chris Sale is done for the year after elbow surgery. I think part of the trade was down to the fact they realize they weren't going to contend this year, so they're rebuilding. Selling off a few RS assets would help in that rebuild.
