Meeting between leagues and PFA supposed to be taking place today.

If the players don't take a significant cut then I think a lot of people will be done with football.

Something like a cap of £10k per week (extremely f ing loads compared to the rest of society). The money saved could be refunded to season ticket holders and help keep non playing staff fully paid. It would also save several clubs from going under.

If the season goes ahead I can see in future years fans up and down the country will throw toilet rolls on the pitch when liverpool play to show disgust of the behaviour of that club in a global crisis, win at all human cost.

I suppose they will claim that they started the tradition of throwing toilet rolls in the first place.

Not missing football much. And the little I am missing it is largely down to the restrictions on other leisure activities.
One of the channels here is showing world cup finals over the years. Watched the 1970 and 1974 finals because I'd never seen the full games. Couldn't be bothered with any of the subsequent finals.

I was fortunate enough to be able to watch that 1970 final at the time.
To me that was the pinnacle of what football should be about.

I agree, moving football to an 'interest' as opposed by main passion has made my life so much more enjoyable. It wasn't even that difficult.

Sadly the whole Coronavirus situation will help the PL brush their horrific use of VAR under the rug unchallenged for a further season.

People will be too excited for football to start to care/demand for the officials to look at the laws/interpretation of VAR thus more shady decisions to look forward to next season.
