ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Don't think Im defending anything. I just remember seeing him come out with a pretty compassionate video as soon as it was all [Poor language removed] off. There isn't a single club who has come out of this with any sort of grace or dignity. Every single club is petrified of the bottom line and will do what they can to use it to their advantage. West Ham want it voided, of course they do. Teams in the top 4 want it given to them without the rest of the games being played, course they do. We want it voided and consigned to history so they don't win the title, course we do. Its not one club being dickheads its the whole greedy corrupt wagon running people over to get what they want.

You do know that you are the one club, above any one other, that is responsible for that wagon, don't you?

Also, another thing that the tricky reds don't seem to understand, is that, even if they do find a solution to finish the season like behind closed doors or even if it's finished at a later date, it's already tainted.

Behind closed doors. How would that even work? How do the teams train and maintain safe distancing much less the match. 2 meters between each player in the wall or in the box for a corner?
Are you isolating the entire team and backroom staff from each club from their families for the duration and testing them before and after each match?
What if half the players refuse for safety fears? Lunacy

What about restarting the league at a later date?
June is the target date by the FA for a reason. So many contracts are up/loans ending etc. with no realistic safe way for clubs to sign replacement players.
It's no longer an even playing field.

No matter how it ends now, it's an asterisk against their 'achievement'.

They can't be crowned because they are not mathematically champions. And the league can't finish because this campaign is already done for.

Ironically their club's actions (forced or otherwise) against Athletico - will have impacted the cases in the Liverpool and outlying area, but I'm pretty sure this will be conveniently brushed under the already bulging carpet of theirs.
This. There has already been a spike in cases in Liverpool two weeks after that game. They could have/should have insisted it was behind closed doors. Atletico's matches were already played like that. But they didn't. Totally irresponsible by all concerned. Only topped by Cheltenham Festival going ahead.

Everyone at Liverpool was aware of the increased risk to people but they chose to swerve asking for closed doors in favour of trying to win a football match with one of those "special European nights at anfield."

Their complete disregard for human life should be the media narrative, not this endless campaign to be given a trophy.

I believe the official phrase is ‘magical European night’.

"Those who say the Premier League should be cancelled entirely because of coronavirus are stupid."

"It's just going to be a matter of time. You've got to finish what's there. And that's not from a selfish point of view for Liverpool Football Club."

"As long as we get what's ours. Because it is ours. No-one can take it away from us this season."

It's like their entire attitude in distilled form. And what a fitting person in Aldridge to deliver it...
