Cancelling this season's Premier League

Should football be canceled until August and this season declared null and void?

So, Non League is voided, but they're going to promote from conference North yet not relegate. Conference is promoting and relegating. Trying to make the season continue through EFL to allow PL to do the same. All FA affiliated yet treating them completely differently. Only difference is access to money.

If the season is cancelled, then the TV money gotta be paid back....we are talking about giving back around 100m+ of money back. Unless all the owners want to take this, this season won't get cancelled.
No, it will be paid out on a pro rata basis, SKY pay for what they have had, not the rest. This is covered in civil law by Frustration of Contracts, where events beyond the control and reasonable foresight of either party make the contract unable to be fulfilled. Whilst clubs will still be playing wages, they won't be paying appearance money, win/clean sheet/scoring top bonuses to players or policing costs.

I don't get all this tv money nonsense, they'll get tv money next season anyway so I don't understand wanting to ruin next season to finish this season

You must not have got the memo off all the Liverpool fans and associated media...it’s more important we finish this season so we don’t have to return, pro rata, the money for the remaining 9 games of this season. If we lose all next seasons money, the transfer windows don’t open so players don’t get moves, clubs that need money can’t sell players, players contracts become completely irrelevant and no one gets to play football properly unit next August, we’ll, none of that matters. As long as these last 9 games get played Marshy.

The NLS and the women’s football pyramid were able to build a consensus amongst their leagues and, where possible, aimed to create a consistent approach across all leagues, whilst taking into account the unique characteristics of each individual league.

As a result, The FA and NLS steps three to six have reached a consensus that their 2019-20 season will now be brought to an end, and all results will be expunged. This will mean no promotion or relegation of clubs between NLS steps three to six, and no promotion to NLS step two.

These decisions will also apply to the leagues and clubs who play at NLS step seven.

We will continue to assist and support the National League (NLS steps one and two) to determine the outcome of its 2019-20 season as quickly as possible. The planned implementation of the restructure of the NLS will also now be deferred until the start of the 2021-22 season.

Do you hear that kopites?
