But why just move the problem into other seasons?
The issue is still going to be there it just depends on when you bite the bullet so to speak.

But it doesn't, that's the entire point. You could for example have a 19 game mini season next year (draw for H/A) with everyone agreed to revised conditions in advance, if that what the calendar requires to get on track again.

My entire point is 19/20 has to be linked to 20/21 & the argument of void this season and just carry on is rubbish, whenever football resumes, even if its in12 months time, they won't start next season without resolving this one. RS the least of the issues, top 4; relegation, promotion and TV rights will end up in the courts

I mentioned it earlier but what if teams don't exist anymore? This isn't just about the PL.
Cancelling games that have already taken place will cause more issues.

If the same teams aren't available when it's safe to resume then it has to be void.

This would be the safest option for the authorities.

Italy has needed two weeks of lockdown just to start to see the curve decreasing, it would then need to be maintained beyond that just to ensure the curve keeps going down. We could easily be looking at 6 week lockdown as a minimum. That would be the middle of May before players could even think about getting out of their houses let alone going back to training.

Would completely agree with that, unless all teams can go back (due to virus) then non can.

If teams go bankrupt and can't fulfill that's different. Voiding and saddling them with a massive TV rights owed bill would only make things worse. Hopefully some sort of revenue share, where the tv rights are used to bailout those who are in trouble might happen

The only chance the PL have of resuming is making sure the lower leagues are safe.
We'll see how much of a toss they give when it comes to bailing some out.

Yeah agree, in terms of virus, has to be an all or nothing approach for it to kick off.

The reality is the PL teams won't give a toss about lower league, but if some sort of TV rights tax means everyone KOs together it might get implemented.

Why would any team,sky/BT agree to losing half the games next season to play 9 or so this season?

Presumably there would be a renegotiation and Lower fee agreed. The big difference being they have already paid this season, the responsibility is now with the PL to honour this season.
I think your living in cloud cuckoo land if you think clubs will agree to losing a minimum of half the tv money then half of there gate/advertising revenue to play the last 9 games behind closed doors

Lols at b and q classifying themselves as an essential retailer
I can kinda see why. If your pipes start peeing water all over your house you'd hope someone could fix it or if an electrical breaker goes out you really need a replacement. Can't just allow their competitors in that space to be open and not them because they carry a ton of crap that's mainly useless right now

Spot on.

Too many Blues are trying to turn this enforced break into the Liverpool show when there's promotion, relegation and European places across all European leagues to be sorted out. Not everything has to revolve around whether they pick up the Prem title or not. Surely I'm not the only one bored of reading about them on here.
The LFC lovers pleading their case on here, an EFC forum, are putting that club's unfortunate situation constantly up for discussion.

Hi all, long standing lurker and forum member here.
I work within a local intensive care unit, what is heading towards us is truly terrifying, we’ve literally emptied out any patients who are remotely anywhere near being able to leave.

Staff with critical care experience are being redeployed back years after leaving, retired staff are being asked to come back.

We have 15 ventilations on order to make us a fully ventilated unit, patients unlikely to survive are not going to come to us.

I’ve just done four nights, can’t sleep, and have a Chrisis meeting in six hours time.

Anyone thinking about how infair this is to whatever club is currently winning the league can do one, it’s beyond what anyone in their right mind should be in any way able to care or about.

We’ve just had all our annual leave cancelled in order to survive.

I’m a Diabetic type 1 diabetic who’s being warned not to take any risks, we have COVID +ve patients, I was assisting with the intubation of a potential possible patient only a few hour ago, and have two young children home.

If I was of a particular persuasion I’d post YAWN.

But im not. This is real

if the football callender was to restart, the fact it even came into discussion or passed would be an unsult to myself and my colleges! It really doesn’t matter
