The problem with that is every club is in limbo not knowing what will happen, fans are going to struggle to justify renewing season cards, with the added problem of not knowing when it will be of use, they should state a cut off point and stick with itThe powers that be will keep kicking the can down the road until such a point where they have little option but to void the season.

Businesses up and down the country are taking serious decisions to enable their very survival, and govt are putting billions into this.
Football clubs need to make big decisions now about their survival (particularly lower league but including some in prem) which includes letting contracts expire in June to get costs off books, and/or send loan players back to parent clubs now for same reason. Heaven forbid maybe even 'furlough' some players using govt scheme to pay 80% of wages up to £2500 per month (imagine that for players dropping to this!).
They can only do this with certainty. There isn't any, but what is increasingly clear is that it won't be anything like June so UEFA/FA need to create certainty to enable survival. Only one way to do this - cancel season and set a 'not before' date of the usual start date in August for next season and therefore next matches. This will allow difficult decisions to be made that currently can't be by clubs to facilitate their own survival. Some players may suffer but clubs might survive which is absolutely more important for the future when we do get back to it.
This is not about Liverpool or anyone else with something to gain - give them the title for all I care - but bold leadership needed from the administrators for benefit of all 92 clubs.
This whole episode is a chance for them to step up or be seen for what they are. I fear that you are spot on. Football is rotten to the core due to money. The administrators of this game only care about 2 clubs though. If they could have them playing each other every week in a 2 team league whilst the other 90 go out of business they would do it. They’d probably keep Norwich as well so their favourite team could pump them 5-0 every now and then.
Do people really think that the powers that be will be bothered about clubs akin to Bury or Macclesfield if they shed a few tens of jobs as they go bust as opposed to their precious United or Liverpool missing out on 700 million and trophies/CL qualification? The people at the top of the game will do what they’ve always done which is whatever Is best for their pockets.

YNWA innitChanged tact because the football public find it insensitive, and disgusting, how the lfc dominated media are going on about, 'why the season should restart, even behind closed doors' whilst this virus is spreading far and wide and people are losing their loved ones.
