Beckford

Someone linked something on here the other day, that showed Beckford had the best goals per minute ratio in our team, and about the 8th best in the league.

Oh but Damon says nothing is Moyes' fault. I guess he asked to be on the bench then.

I'm sure Moyes thinks....."I know, Jermaine sometimes scores when he comes on off the bench. Why change that masterplan..."

If that's the case Moyes, bring him on after a minute next time please!!!!!!!!!!

Anichebe has scored zero goals this year. Justify that.

Moyes doesn't like strikers. Seemples.

He's just let two go out on loan, keeps one on the bench, and starts a game with six midfielders, as Anichebe has never had a good game as a striker, but a few as a right winger.

4-6-0.

Jagielka as well. How come he isn't playing?

We conceded three at home to Blackpool, with defenders, notably Heitinga, at clear fault.

Because he wanted to bring Cahill back in the team which leaves you needing a striker comfortable playing up front on his own. Beckford is not that striker. It would seem Anichebe isn't either like.

Which is another problem in itself.

We played well whilst Super Tim was gone. Players should fit into the team, but the team shouldn't be compromised to fit players in. Clearly 4-5-1 with Cahill doesn't work anymore -- it hasn't all season. But Moyes takes comfort in familiarity.

though i dont think becks will giv u a 90 mins preformance that we would be happy about im baffled how vic is ahead of him and i think we started to see some frustration from him today (directly because of this) with him yelling at felli

Was his last game for us before he left the 0-2 at Stoke? And our only loss in that time was away to Arsenal? And did Saha find his shooting boots the first game we played without Cahill but with Beckford up front?

Notice the only good thing Cahill done today : make a run from deep to get on the end of Baines cross. Sure he missed it but thats what he does best, make runs from deep in to the box.

But when we shoehorn him into the team and he isn't scoring himself we seem to struggle.

I've said it before, he is a capable but average player but one who excels at getting on the end of things in the box and hassling defenders.

Its no surprise He played today, Moyes will pretty much play him regardless of anything else, we know that well enough by now.

I'm not blaming him for today or any rubbish like that, its just an observation
