My mate is out in the Philippines with his wife, he's on an island and they won't let anyone move, no ferries, nothing. He was trying to get to an airport to fly to Japan, then home to Canada but impossible now.

Because they knew they weren't winning it.

Sometimes it's common sense that prevails . It's not like villa fighting to not go down based on what ifs , Liverpool could well have been champions by tonight without playing , certainly within a week.

Sorry mate, not in contract law it doesn't. Contract law is all down to what is written in the rules/contract, common sense, or perceived intention of the rule/contract take a poor backseat to the written words. If you are doing things that aren't written in the rules/contract, prepare for a whole world of legal/financial pain.

somebody should tell this to men in the var studio and referees in general as their interpretation of rules is to use their common sense to bend the written rules to to suit the fa and money men the sky luvvies. sadly it's these fa and money men sky luvvies that run the show so they dont stick to their own written rules they add and remove to suit it's special dispensation the football rule made up by the men incharge that allows them to ignore their own rules to the advantage of that lot
