It's probably smart to postpone for a fortnight and then take a look at if things have worsened, at which case it can be extended

Even if you quadruple it it’s only 0.6%

THe government forecast of worst case scenario is 60% at the peak and a probable recurrence of the virus every year.. I am a 'vulnerable' case(so is Joey and a few others on here, and have a sneezy cold, but my advice has been that that's all it is, a cold. Take care everyone this is not a time to be 'cavalier' or macho...just take care.

That appears to be the week where the Government is predicting we'll be at Italy's current level of infection. Hopefully it's only going one way from here.

Players contracts must come into it as well, they end in June. Then there’s shift sponsorship contracts also. Will they be playing games in June and July with different squads and no shirt sponsors?

If they scrap the Euro's and Olympics then they might be able to squeeze it in

What would need to happen though is that the PFA and LMA would have to get it's members to agree for contracts to be frozen momentarily so that clubs who have players at the end of their deals don't get shafted by those players leaving

Cancelling all mass gatherings is the only sensible action in these circumstances - about 2 weeks ago I'd say.

Of course Cheltenham just had to go ahead so the wealthy (land owners, bookies, the horsey set) can collect cash from the addicted. Good old gambling tax revenue.

I guess the respective unions would have to agree to contract freezing whilst the football is postponed?
