Exactly, their weaponizing of Hillsborough is disgusting. No other supporters ever take the piss out of Hillsborough, because it could have happened to any group of fans in that era and the cover up and injustice remains an open sore for football supporters everywhere. Particularly given the relationship the city "enjoyed" with the government at the time.

But to use it as a way to deflect criticism and plead for special treatment 30 years on is just weird and practiced (i have the impression) only by those who are too young to remember the event and the impact it had on the city or those with no actual connection to Liverpool.

Actually thought Alexander Arnold was even worse, the lad had a nightmare. Plus I'm 5' 9" and I think I would have headed Deaney's shot off the line, never mind ducking it.
 

I watched our game on NBC on sunday, they mentioned that Leighton Baines still holds the PL record for assists by a defender... "Although Trent will break that"

The last prem derby a few Everton lads made a banner for unison which got no coverage, they did a mosaic in the kop making it all about the club, sky saying it was all about them, when it was a horrible tragedy for merseyside. We all know people close to us impacted by it and that bothered me.
