Who decides the Mancs are worth 64M of sponsoring but we can only get 20M? It’s so corrupt and blatantly wrong.
Whoever pays the money decides. If Chevrolet think that spending 64 mill on shirt advertising over a period of time is worth it, then they pay it. It is no-one else's business except ManU and Chevrolet. The only time it is an issue, is if they claimed 64 mill, but they only got 40 mill and the owners made up the rest to bend FFP rules.

PS - not actually sure if it is Chevrolet, so if it isn't, whoever spent the money just wasted it.

They wouldn’t, but thinking how much USM/MEGAFON could invest.

Those, I would expect to come in for a little scrutiny based on the fact that our owner is closely linked to the owner of those brands.

But honestly, I don't think the Premier League care enormously where your money comes from. More money in the league, more eyes on it, better for them.

But if Ford wanted to sponsor us for the same amount it wouldn’t be allowed because it’s not a fair value.
Ford isn’t a related party. I think it would only need to be judged to be fair market value if it was USM or some other company that’s connected.

This is basically it. If UEFA start trying to make value judgements, or imposing fines or penalties because they don't agree with the value a particular company has chosen to sponsor another company they will get nowhere legally. European courts will tell them to poke their heads back in, and that while they are entitled to their opinion it holds no legal weight and they cannot punish people on that basis.

They will then be sued into oblivion by the football club in question, and also the people who chose to sponsor them, for making out they are rule breakers and cheats.

As with most things in today's world the market decides. United have a greater global following/footprint than any other British club and so can currently command greater sponsorships owing to the exposure they provide for their clients. Might not like it, but it's a given currently.

There isnt a problem tho.

In my very uneducated and utterly clueless opinion, I see no reason why we couldnt match Uniteds 64m on shirt sponsor.

There are plenty of ways for Usmanov to give us money without even bending the rules nevermind breaking them.

We are merely just people on the internet, I know some of us think we have a clue, but compared to Usmanov and Moshiri, we really havent got a clue and im pretty sure they have ALL the answers.

What people need to consider is that Moshiri has bought the club to turn a profit, in the end he will want to get his money back, plus a massive cherry on top, which is why I dont think he will be ploughing money after money into the club constantly.

Hes already 350m down so far, plus the purchase price, hes looking at close to 500m invested all being told and that doesnt even include the various USM deals we have ongoing. But hes not stupid, he knows he only turns a profit if we are successful on the pitch, so that will take money. I suppose its about how much he thinks a successful club with a world-class stadium will be worth in say 2025 and beyond.

That of course depends on the level of success we can achieve.
Just because we've spent X amount it doesn't mean Moshiri has invested it, he certainly hasn't invested anywhere near your figures, Everton have spent 350 million on players since he's arrived it didn't come out of his pocket so to say he's down 350 million is crazy talk.

You can't, if it was that easy every club would be sponsored by their owners business.

Jersey sales their sponsor gets multiple times the amount of advertising ours does, just from people going around wearing the jersey. Lowball estimate for every jersey we sell they sell 5.

You would think so wouldnt you.

But no.

Taken from our accounts.

Since hes come in we have spent 500m on players, 450m on wages, 52m on managers, 80m on Agents, plus other amounts on Stadium costs.

Plus over 150m from various USM sponsorship deals.

So all being told my 500m investment was a little on the short side.

350m in loans
150m in buying shares
150 in sponsorship

650m and counting.
