I think it's time we did forget the First World War.
It's over a hundred years ago now.
We don't seem to have learned anything from it judging by the state of the globe.
Did the people of 1915 mourn Waterloo?

Agree. Had this conversation the other day actually. When will we stop celebrating/remembering the world wars?

I dont think its a question of forgetting WW1. There are still plenty of people who had close relatives who died in it. My Grandfather was torpedoed and went down with his ship three months before the end of WW1 in 1918 when my Dad was six months old. He was 27. I think for some people and regardless of any
learning process, it would still mean a lot for their country to say "We Shall Remember Them".
