Hopefully the deflation at the end doesn't detract from how boss he was today. He's showed glimpses of the diamond underneath at the right time and I really hope he can build on it from here on out. We're going to do nothing this season of note so may as well use it to give him and DCL the chance to keep scoring and improving.

I thought it was the first time he looked fit. He ran round like a 19 year old wanting to make an impact. Enthusiasm and energy in abundance which has been completely lacking in his game.

Before we get too excited I can’t be the only one who thought he’d blown it with the heavy touch, and that miss at the start of the second half was laughable. Still needs to do a lot to convince me
