ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Here is something that always has me bemused.

You know when the kopites line the street to 'welcome' the opposition before a game. They are often drinking in the street, carrying pyrotechnics, smashing the coach up, sitting on the police vans, dumping their rubbish outside peoples houses etc.. Why dont the police do something about it?

Its basically footballs version of drunk and disorderly in a public place, criminal damage to vehicles and organised efforts designed to intimidate innocent people.
Surely this weeks effort for United must be nipped in the bud. Imagine the carnage if the Mancs decided to 'protect' their players by turning up at area where this 'welcoming committee' is staged?

Or i am just out of touch with the real world?

I've no idea mate, but once no action was taken after they tried to cause actual bodily harm to the City players by throwing bricks through the window of their coach you realised that they are able to do whatever they want. It's unreal to be honest, but we see so often they see to be able to set the rules themselves, or have others change rules for them (when we finished fourth and they finished fifth, but still got into the Champions League, a couple of VAR decisions this season with handballs, Gerrard telling the referee to change a yellow card into a red against us, etc), so no surprise really. They have even had their disgraceful history swept under the carpet, so now anybody from outside of the UK only knows of them as the darlings of British football. I've accepted they are winning the league this season, but I just hope them son biches don't go unbeaten and make it a Champions League double.

Im not remotely bothered by them winning the league now because i think they do deserve it. They are the best in the world IMO.
It winds me up more than the mighty Milan team of 2005 was beaten by smicer, biscan, kewell and traore to be honest.

Regarding the welcoming party, i think its disgraceful to be honest. If it was done in a respectful way (no violence of dumping rubbish everywere) then i would be fine with it. Can you imagine the scenes if they did it to Napoli? I could see the Sean Cox incident being viewed as a 'warning shot'. It sets a dangerous precedent to how far fans can go if they are mob handed.

That was there Wimbledon fa cup moment, they fluked it all the way to the end. If that match was replayed 100 times they wouldn't win it again.

Dida
Cafu stam Nesta maldini
Pirlo gattuso seedorf
Kaka shevchenko crespo

How that team lost I will never know.

Mate, I think you have to give your half and half scarves back if you don't refer to it as "the miracle of Istanbul" or say you were there.

Regards that Milan game, if Gerrard hadn't have produced the most flagrant of dives to get them back into the game, they would never have won it. That set the tone for their comeback and Milan's inevitable collapse.
