ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

How can you determine intent?

I’m not saying it wasn’t a red by the way, I’m saying I can see why it wasn’t given a red because he got the ball cleanly first. If he goes over the ball, misses it and connects then it’s a red all day (ala Aubamayang), but he didn’t.

Possibly by the speed he went into the challenge, probably over stretched and definitely followed through, or would have definitely "followed through" if his opponent had get back up and chased him lol . Na he had no chance of stopping following through because it was a reckless, in my opinion challenge.

Fair enough, but saying it was a reckless challenge isn’t the same as saying it was intentional. If it’s intentional it’s unquestionably a red. If the ref considers he’s won the ball and that both players were flying in for a 50-50 then that’s possibly why it wasn’t.

It is what it is like, good side, but not a patch on some of the teams we've seen over the years, Utd's 99 side would batter these

Batter? It would probably be a good game as that Utd side were also very tough to beat but they did draw 13 and lose 3 in that season in the league. Statistically it wont be even close. RS just have to win five more games to have matched that Utd winning season points total........as I'm sure you're aware that is only 15 more points and they have 51 to play for  (PS Leeds and Hammers were 4th and 5th that year)

The funny thing is the more games they win, the less bothered most fans including myself are with their success. As I've said in here multiple times, there have been numerous teams in the premier league who have been better than them, yet haven't won the amount of games they have which suggests that something else in going on. In some ways the more successful they are the more people will start asking questions and how exactly they're able to perform to such a high standard. I don't understand how players like Robertson, TAA, Milner, Henderson, Keita, Mane, Firmino and Salah have become world beaters almost overnight. For example Rooney was viewed as being world class for ages, before making the first team, same with players like Gerrard, Torres, Beckham, Scholes and Ferdinand.

Is Alisson better than Cech or Schmeichel? No. Is Robertson better than Ashley Cole or Evra? I'd say probably the same. Are any of their current midfielders better than players like Makelele, Essien, Viera, Scholes, Keane, Ronaldo, Lampard, Gerrard, Alonso, Fabregas, Pires, Llunberg,Petit,Giggs, Beckham, or Overmars? Certainly not. Is Mane better than Henry, Rooney, Suarez, Aguero, Drogba, or even Shearer? No. Is Fimino better than a lot of those players? No he's not. With regards to Salah, his performances have dropped once defenders got used to him. So it's either all the other teams in the league are rubbish or something else is going on. My view is like others on here is that with United being a mess, Chelsea's transfer ban, all the problems with the board at Arsenal, that Sky and the premier league needed Liverpool to do well, to keep the large TV audience. When so much money comes from the TV and clubs like Liverpool, Man United, Chelsea and Arsenal have such large armchair supports, there is a financial benefit to ensuring these clubs succeed. It's really no surprise that we always lose the RS, when in some ways Everton benefit financially from being in Liverpool's shadow. It's not surprise that when clubs like Everton, Spurs and Man City challenge the top 4, you get lot's of dodgy decisions against you. That's why City go far harder groups than Arsenal despite the fact they had won the league and Arsenal had finished 4th, why we got Villareal in qualifying and Liverpool got a amateur Welsh side. Football is completely corrupt and designed to ensure clubs with large numbers of worldwide supporters do well, while smaller clubs just become extras in their movie.

Can't say I watch them much, but I'm definitely seeing strange stuff happening when they play.

It's definitely a red card for that rat on Saturday, no doubts. Then it's barely even looked at by any media outlet.

But an even stranger one occurred in the first half when Mane got dispossessed by the young debutant for Spurs, before he chased him down, hauled him to the ground, then landed on the young lads head... No yellow card, amazing, if you haul down a player from behind its a yellow all day, again no mention by the match commentators of it being a bookable offense, just strange.

The fact he pretended to be hurt tells me he knew he should of been off, not seen a tackle like that go unpunished this season ,the game is bent , the hand balls pushing in the box and over the top tackles dont apply to them.

You need to loosen your tin-foil hat a bit there fella.

Norwich's Mclean on Guendouzi in the Arsenal game a couple of weeks ago, over the top of the ball and crucially didn't get the ball. Got only a yellow card.
