Recall someone summing him up earlier on this thread - he's playing a generation too late. A street baller from 1982. Yeah he can make that killer pass, given enough time. Or score from long, given enough time. Or intelligently build play, given five goes at it. But the game done changed.

Moyes sent him on loan to the Championship when he was probably the most creative player we had at the time, even at just 17/18. No chance, Davie will go with old pros who'll do exactly as he tells them even if their legs do creak.
