Interesting Article. I think Ancelotti might thrive here, it’s a chance to show what he can do. Bring a successful manager has given him the big jobs followed by big job, doesn’t mean he can’t handle it here. Let’s be honest out side City and Liverpool every other sports up for grabsVery informative piece on Sky Sports on Carlo published today, much of which I’d already discussed on here and concur with, but even for me, it’s an oddly timed, oddly titled article.

Player led decision making is pretty common at higher levels of sport. That article states he allowed the Chelsea players to choose the tactics for their FA Cup final game in 2010. Why would a manager do that?
Everyone knows this to be true. It was a Moshiri choice, just as every other managerial choice has been.If you know this as a fact, then ok.

We've had clarification over the last 2-3 weeks that Brands is not in sole charge of the football side of the club. Moshiri is picking the succession in terms of manager, and hopefully Ancelotti is now identifying the players he wants and getting them through his own network of agents and contacts.
Brands' status has evaporated over the last 6 months. It's just a complete nonsense not to recognise that.
I said from the off that we are ill-suited to a DoF role, and the events of the last few weeks underline it.
This ignores the fact that Ancelotti has on a number of occasions down the years stressed the importance of the role of a DOF, saying that he prefers to work with players rather than getting involved in contracts and buying/selling players, but whatever![]()
I'm sure he looks at the competency of the DoF in each case. He must be unimpressed with the quality Brands has brought in.
We;ll see loan deals in January for players Ancelotti has a history with, and that'll settle this debate.
